I am fiercely independent, highly opinionated, and absolutely ridiculous when it comes to making important decisions. This trifecta of awesomeness got me into the situation I am in today. In June I packed up my dog and left my beloved USA courtesy of the military to experience living in a foreign country. I didn’t even think about the possible consequences until there was no turning back. Culture shock set in about two minutes after I stepped off the plane. The pretty, sparkly little daydreams I had been having about living in Europe were dashed when I quickly realized this grand plan of mine wouldn’t be all rainbows and glitter. Regular life still goes on, even when living in a fabulous location.
