• About me: My Russian wife and I left New Jersey in June 2000 to retire in her native city of St Petersburg. I was a teacher, Navy sailor, and owned an insurance agency. My parents came from Scotland, so leaving for another country was in my blood. I enjoy cogitating on how many ways Russian and American life contrast. A lot of my time is spent reading, learning Russian, and cooking.
