My blog is called Mint Mocha Musings. Why that title? Mainly because I've become addicted to Starbuck's Mint Mochas …they got me through pregnancy, sleep deprivation and way beyond! Rarely a day goes by without one. My blog's subtitle is 'An Hotelier's wife: an expat affair in Hong Kong' which pretty much sums it up. I try to write about the culture and experiences that I find are a far cry from home. My aim is to provide people with a little bit of knowledge about Hong Kong and Asia while at the same time offering humorous (hopefully) first hand accounts of my daily encounters.

• About me: I was born in the land of the long white cloud, more commonly - New Zealand, a child of the 70's, the adventures of Wonder Woman were a weekly television highlight in the Webb household. At the ripe old age of sweet 16 I was dragged kicking and screaming Lynda Carter style across the Tasman to a country where sunshine, mateship and opportunity reigned supreme, Australia. In high school I set my sights on becoming a television News Reader and with sheer hard work and perseverence I eventually realised my dream as a journalist and found myself at Sky News Australia as a producer, reporter and news presenter for the best part of decade. I met my husband James on a blind date (I swore was my last) and we married 18 months later. An hotelier, in 2010 the call to Hong Kong's W Hotel came, we took a leap of faith and relocated to Asia's world city! Swapped the news desk and microphone for a nappy bag and change table I'm proud mum to 2 yr old Ava and work as a freelance journalist.
