• About me: My name is Karen and I am a British expat living in Arkansas, USA. I moved here 18 months ago with my husband and my children for my husband's job. I never thought I would ever live abroad, it wasn't something I had ever considered. I am very close to my family too. However, our expat experience so far has been amazing and we are all gaining so much from it. I used to work as a dentist and now I'm in the USA I no longer work. It has been a big adjustment but one I feel has been much more straightforward than I anticipated. I've found new friends both American and British, I have new hobbies and interests that have come out of our experience.
