• About me: Hello! my name is Ashley and I'm from Virginia, not too far from Washington, DC. I moved to Japan in August of 2010 through the JET Program and teach English at a high school in Shizuoka city. I came knowing no Japanese, and have learned so much about the language, the culture, and the people! I have traveled around Japan, as well as to other countries around around Asia such as Thailand and Korea. I am preparing for my move home, although there are still many adventures to be had and expat stories to share before I leave!
