My blog is written in order to entertain people, to make them laugh, and to share with them the quirkiness of life in a foreign country (or indeed several foreign countries). I also use it to flex my writing muscles and therefore hopefully become more and more adept at wielding the English language to my advantage.

• About me: Hello! I am a 32 year old girl from the UK, who has so far spent 8 years in Spain, 5 years in France, worked and travelled round NW Scotland and New Zealand and is now living in Italy. I don't think this will be where is all ends though; I have a bit of an obsession with learning foreign languages and moving to new places! I would love to be a writer of some description eventually, but at the moment I am just trying to gather together enough potential learners of English to be able to leave my job and teach at home.
