This site is about an Aussie in Hong Kong who aims to have lots of fun exploring the city and learning about the culture and its people. My world is not complete without my husband and gorgeous girls and when I’m not spending time with them I enjoy learning Beginner’s Mandarin, Mahjong (Cantonese Style), Photography and the ubiquitous Chinese Knots. After completing a couple of Chinese Knot courses in Hong Kong and looking through many Chinese Knot books (minus the English translation), I am now on the path to incorporating Chinese knots into my own jewelry range which has recently made its debut on Etsy. I particularly enjoy scouring Hong Kong for anything beautiful and unusual and love using materials such as velvet, beads, buttons, ribbon and anything else that has a hint of sparkle. My jewelry is designed to be lots of fun and really bright and each necklace has my signature - at least one brightly colored button knot. Eclectic designs for the confident, uninhibited woman! So in between Mandarin, Mahjong, Photography, Chinese knots and having fun with my family I should have plenty to report.
