• About me: Canadian mezzo-soprano Brynne McLeod began her studies at the University of Toronto with Jean McPhail. After completing a Master of Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama), Brynne remained in Glasgow, where she supplemented her singing work with a “real” job in arts administration. She eventually left this job to pursue a full-time singing career, and joined the Flanders Opera Studio in Ghent, Belgium. Brynne is now working as a freelance singer in Cologne, Germany. “Diva on a Dare” is about the “dare” she has taken in choosing this path, and the many changes and challenges she meets along the way.
