• About me: I'm an expat twice over now, having lived in the UK and Ireland before moving to France in 2006 with my husband and three kids. We completely changed our lives, taking downsizing to extremes! However, we swapped the rat race for a fascinating if challenging life in what is still at times a bewildering country. My three TCKs are all totally Frenchified now and living far more interesting lives than they would have, with many more opportunities open to them. It's not been easy to build up a business and there are still stresses and struggles. We are much closer to nature and the seasons now and our lives are much richer in experience, now that we are much poorer financially. Every day is different, every day is a step into the unknown. It's brilliant!
