• About me: Originally from central Iowa (USA), I've lived more than 30 years in Madrid (Spain), so I'm also "from" Madrid. I've travelled all over Spain, mostly on foot and by bicycle, and more off-track rural destinations than the big tourist sights. Favorite thing about that kind of travel? Talking to local people, they open up much faster for people arriving on foot than by car! I love discovering new places, learning new things and taking the older, untravelled tracks.
