  • About me: I was born in Panama and grew up in Venezuela, where I was what some might consider an overachiever: valedictorian, editor of the magazine and the yearbook, model UN member, national honor society, captain of the soccer team. Somehow I still had a busy social life. I studied college at UPenn, where I double-majored in History and Economics (minor in French). I then moved to NYC and did marketing at Time Inc. In NYC I had the good fortune of meeting Carlos. We soon discovered that we were made for each other and tied the knot in March 2007. A few years into my stint at Time Inc, I was offered a position at BRAC USA, a start-up supporting one of the largest development organizations in the world. BRAC empowers individuals through microfinance loans and by providing healthcare, education, and legal programs (among others).
