• About me: I'm a former BBC local radio presenter, who moved from a village in Oxfordshire, UK, to live in a finca in rural Mallorca in 2004. We'd bought the property two years before as a holiday home, and it had no electricity, mains water or gas. I am a freelance journalist, working from my peacefully located home, and when not writing can usually be found making bread or preserves, or assisting my husband - The Boss - in a variety of DIY or gardening projects. I also contribute to a programme on Talk Radio Europe once a week, about events happening on Mallorca.
