About me: A 20-something writer, blogger, techie living in Japan. Teaching English, writing and freelancing, learning Japanese and experiencing the culture first-hand. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Washington), I took a giant leap across the ocean after finishing up my undergrad work. Taught with JET program for a year and a half, and now only teaching part-time to focus more on writing (and this blog, of course!) Married the love of my life May, 2009, and enjoying the newlywed life in Japan, together. Enjoy cooking and gardening, sunshine and warmth, outdoor activities and cats. (Although, I've yet to acquire a cat here...) I'm always on the lookout for new and helpful resources here, especially as a foreigner, and hope to connect others in the foreign (and Japanese) community and offer something useful with this site.
