THIS IS A BLOG ABOUT PLAY.
And Paris. And museums. And parties.
It is hard, if not impossible, for me to be involved in the planning of a party without including a garland. I have made garlands out of coffee filters, letters, streamers, photos, American flags, balloons, even toilet paper... to the point to where I have a garland-reputation in certain circles. I firmly believe a well-chosen garland adds fun, festivity, and–if you're really lucky–ridiculousness.
Garlands in Paris aims to be a garland in it's own right. It will reflect on issues such as party planning, life in Paris, play in museums, and creative uses of paper. This blog celebrates the little things in life that, like art and friendship, have "no survival value; rather [they are some] of those things which give value to survival" (C.S. Lewis).
